Applications are now open for the NZSQ | SOUNZ Tarling Trust Composer Commission 2024, closing on 30 September 2024.
The NZSO | SOUNZ Tarling Trust Composer Commission is a collaboration between the New Zealand String Quartet Trust and SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music, with support from the Nicholas Tarling Charitable Trust.
The aim is to give an early-career New Zealand composer the opportunity to compose a work for the NZSQ to be toured within New Zealand.
Rehearsal for the commissioned work will take place between June - October 2025, with the premiere performance, date TBC, in October 2025.
