Secrets of Sea and Space | Programme Information
Relaxed performance and workshop
Tuesday 3 March, 1-2.30pm | Newtown Community Centre
As part of the 2020 New Zealand Festival's Access & Inclusion programme the NZSQ are offering two additional opportunities to get involved in the music. The first of these is a free relaxed performance and workshop experience, alongside Julian Raphael, for adults with intellectual disabilities. There is often more on offer for children with intellectual disabilities, and not as many opportunities for adults, so we’re pleased to be joining Julian and the NZ Festival to offer this access programme.
Pre-show talk with artists and Touch tour
Tuesday 10 March, 5-5:30pm | St Mary of the Angels
Our second programme in the NZ Festival's Access and Inclusion programme is a free pre-show touch tour and talk. We were excited to hear that our main NZ Festival programme, Secrets of Sea and Space was specifically requested by members of the Blind community during programming selection process. Since then, we’ve worked with them to design this additional event for audience members who are blind. If you yourself are blind or know someone who is blind we'd love to welcome you to this special opportunity.
