Doug Beilman to step down after 26 years

After 26 years Doug Beilman, will be stepping down as 2nd violinist at the end of 2015. Doug has contributed to a record 21 years without any change in the ensemble, something few string quartets can match.

Cellist Rolf Gjelsten spent June touring the country with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the New Zealand Army band for the season of Salute, and managed to fit in a performance of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in Auckland with the St. Matthew's Chamber Orchestra.
