About the event

Nevertire Memorial Hall

In 2023, the historic hall was carefully restored exposing large timber rafters, polished floorboards, and enjoyed a fresh coat of paint. The hall has retained its original rich red velvet curtains draping the stage. This iconic venue will host a world premiere composed by Australia's very own Anne Cawrse. The wonderful SING Warren Community Choir will perform two works here including Scarborough Fair for choir, piano and chamber orchestra. Hold onto your hats- the region's first performance of Tchaikovsky's powerful Serenade.

This event is generously supported by the New Zealand High Commission.

About Warren Chamber Music Festival | 1 - 4 May

Four spectacular world class concerts with the finest musicians from across the southern hemisphere.

The Warren Chamber Music Festival has grown to be a signature event for the region, attracting visitors from across New South Wales, and interstate. Our festival celebrates the heritage, hard work, and resilience that define rural life through transformative performances that inspire, empower and educate in iconic locations across the Warren Shire.

In 2025, the Warren Chamber Music Festival presents three totally unique and breathtaking concerts with the New Zealand String Quartet, Australia's most innovative Clarinet Quartet, the central west's very own SING Warren community choir, special guests Alexandra Partridge, Zoe Freisberg, Tom Higham and festival director Frances Evans.

The Friday evening event includes a World Premiere of a commissioned work for the festival by revered Australian composer Anne Cawrse. Plus, don't miss rural Australia's first immersive live and digital commemoration performance in the Warren Museum and Gallery, paying tribute to the sacrifice and service of men and women from the Warren Shire district, and more broadly, rural Australia.

About our Australian Tour

For our only international tour in 2025, we're thrilled to be spending it at Warren Chamber Music Festival in rural New South Wales, Australia. This is the Festival's first time welcoming international artists and we're thrilled that our collaboration was made possible by our violinist, Peter Clark, who has collaborated closely with the Festival for many years.

For all of our performances at WCMF, Gill and Peter will be joined by two talented guest artists:

  • Monique Lapins - Guest Violin

  • Callum Hall - Guest Cello
