2018 Adam Summer School

February 2018

The 24th Annual Adam Summer School for Chamber Music will be held in Nelson from the 10th to 18th of February 2018. It is generously sponsored by the Adam Foundation, and provides the opportunity for up to 30 of New Zealand’s best young string players and pianists to commit themselves to eight days of intense chamber music-making under the guidance of the New Zealand String Quartet and guest piano tutor, Stephen De Pledge.

This year we are showcasing New Zealand's top young chamber musicians and musical works by Beethoven, Brahms, Farr, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, and Shostakovich. Check out details below about our free masterclasses, which are open to the general public. Tickets for the Finale Concerts can be purchased via Eventfinda or at the door on Sunday 18 February.
