Charlie Parker with Strings

We join forces with American alto-saxophonist Dick Oatts under the musical direction of iconic Kiwi jazz musician Rodger Fox in a concert that pays homage to legendary saxophonist Charlie Parker and his most memorable work Charlie Parker with Strings.

Piers Lane & Hiroshi Ikematsu with NZSQ

We're joined on this Chamber Music New Zealand tour by celebrated pianist Piers Lane and former NZSO Principal Bassist Hiroshi Ikematsu for Schubert's popular 'Trout' Quintet, as well as a brand new work on the theme of trout fishing, Orowaru, by Ross Harris.

In Memoriam

The New Zealand String Quartet and opera singer Jared Holt join forces to premiere a new song cycle, In Memoriam, by New Zealand composer Janet Jennings - settings of poems by poet and soldier Edward Thomas, who was killed in the Battle of Arras in 1917.
