Adjudicating “true gift” for Helene and Doug

For our violinists Helene Pohl and Doug Beilman, June brought some wonderful moments adjudicating for two prestigious music competitions – the 2015 Michael Hill International Violin Competition (Helene) and the 2015 New Zealand Community Trust Chamber Music Contest run by Chamber Music New Zealand (Doug).

Cellist Rolf Gjelsten spent June touring the country with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the New Zealand Army band for the season of Salute, and managed to fit in a performance of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in Auckland with the St. Matthew's Chamber Orchestra.
