Performances in Ontario at the 39th season of Festival of the Sound, a classical, jazz and film extravaganza dating back to 1979. NZSQ members will play in a number of concerts from July 21 - 27, both as a quartet and as individuals in other ensembles.
The New Zealand String Quartet returns to Summer Music with one of Beethoven’s great middle period quartets, opus 59 “Rasumovsky" No. 1, full of sweeping lines and deep emotion. The programme opens with Stravinsky’s cheeky “Concertino” for string quartet, written in 1920.
